The Right Way to be Wrong
In 2006 I met Eamonn O'Rourke, an irish fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist.
His ability to play and create such a big sound inspired me to trust my own musical
diversity and track many more parts myself then before. I incorporated chants and
rhythms into this new batch of songs. It took on an energy that was diifferent then
past CD's, it was also less produced and relied more on my sincerity and the conviction
of the vocal performances. It was also time to not use a drummer a develop a percussion
sound that I had envisioned for many years. It is a struggle to not be conventional
when you know the other way so well, that is what this title really means. It is
a CD about trusting your inuition to follow a road that may seem wrong to others,
but is essentially right and life defining for you.
